A few days back I had a minor issue with my VMware host. I wasn’t onsite to get behind the ESX host. There was also not a management network card installed like ILO or any other IP management tool. So my only applications where the vSphere client and Putty SSH Client.

I am a GUI guy and wanted to connect and see the console. So this is what I did.

Exchange 2013 and the logging issue..

If you run a Microsoft Exchange 2013 environment you may have noticed that the disk space will fill up with logging data.

Microsoft told us that this is by design. But what if you don’t want to enable all this logging? It also cost you performance… right?
This is what I did to disable the logging and win some disk space and performance back.

Address book Office Communicator 2007R2 does not update

When employees from your organization reports that the address book from Office Communicator is not synchronized after they log on to the application, then you can follow the instructions in the  blog to resolve this issue.

Each day at 1:30 AM the Office Communication Server synchronize the address book. (Default configuration).
If there goes something wrong with the synchronization or maybe you have a corrupt Galcontacts.db file in your user folder, this problem may occur .
