Offline Address Book not updating
It’s possible that when using Outlook Anywhere the Offline Address Book will not update. The most common error is 0x8004010F.
There can be a couple things to look at:
- If the account is less then 24 hours old, the Exchange server have not yet generated the Offline Address Book. The Offline Address Book is generated once a day.
- The Offline Address Book Distribution is not setup correctly (externally this must be the autodiscover site).
- The Offline Address Book is corrupt.
With the last one, you have to close Outlook 2007, go to “%UserProfile%Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook” and remove the *.oab files. The next time Outlook starts the Offline Address Book is generated again.
