Proxy DHCP Service did not reply to request on port 4011
When deploying new VMware vSphere Hosts in one of the remote data centre I got an error: PXE-E55 Proxy DHCP Service did not reply to request on port 4011.
Unfortunately there is no single fix for this issue. There are a lot of causes for this issue. My first thought was how about the IPhelper because I just deployed new VMware Hosts in another data centre and that went well.
You should use IPhelpers on your router. Its most likely the router that stops the traffic, with IPhelpers this will be configured right for you. But this was not the case.
When i ask my friend Google I got a lot of hits regarding DHCP and PXE server on difference server but this is also not my case. So i started with the basic where I should have started. En when I checked the services I saw that the Altiris PXE Server was set to Automatic but wasn’t started. So i started the services and it work
Probably the cause was an error occurred by the DHCP database. There where some errors regarding the DCHP Jet database because the where some read or write errors that causes the operations to fail. look for Event ID 1014 DHCP Database Integrity is shown in the event viewer system log.
